Default How do I blend photos and video ... - 06-30-2008 , 02:09 AM

Take a look at this site ... http://www.fireworks.com

What is this sort of this "intigrated video" called? I'm not sure how to
search for help on it because i dont even know waht the right term is for this.

I'd like to blend some video into the header of the site i'm working on.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It's just called 'common HTML/Flash' pages. The page has a FLASH banner,
placed above an HTML menu, and content.

You can see the Flash banner here - http://www.fireworks.com/nav.swf

It's amazing what you can learn by just looking at the code on the page. I
see that this page is poorly done....

Poorly done? Can you elaborate a little more on that?

Also, do you know of any tutorials that explain how to create this sort of
"common HTML/Flash" page? I'm assuming this sort of component would be created
in Flash rather than Dreamweaver?

I'm not much of a Flash expert but I get the concept. I think for me it's the
file structure that throws me off with Flash ... it's not as simple as popping
a graphic into a cell and uploading that graphic to the server.

Thanks,

George

Back to the topic of publishing the page with the flash banner ...

Do i need to include the location of the origional video file that is used in
the graphic? (Is the flash file referencing the origional video?) Or is the
video self contained within the flash file?

The SWF file is the video. When you follow my steps you'll get what you
want.
