Default How to configure local host for php/msql - 07-18-2003 , 10:19 PM

How do you set up a local testing server for using php and mysql? I can
view http://localhost/phpdev/ and the various test pages. How do I go to
the next step, that is how do I upload pages from DW to my server? Just
simply trying to view pages in DW (F12) causes it to crash.

Any hints?

No longer locking up but still doesn't work. I have a testing server
configured and it appears to work. How do I publish pages to it? Is it the
same way as publishing to a remote server? If I look in the "testing
server" I see my test.php page, however going to
http://localhost/phpdev/test.php gives me a 404 error. Game over for me, I
have no idea what causes this or where to go from here. I don't even know
if this is a DW problem or a php issue, although it *seems* that my php
install is functioning. I am ready to see if I can do this in FrontPage
just for a test because I have no idea what to do to fix this problem.
