Look 3 keys over from the P, then hold down the shift key. Same key as the
backslash

It will be there- depends on os and style of keyboard.

On most of them- Find the \ backslash, in the general area of the
righthand Shift button. Above it, or the right of it.

Quote:
is shift+\
hold down the shift key, and press \ key.

It may look like two vertical hyphens on the key, but it's a vertical line
when typed.

Hi Alan,
Just want to say thanks for the answer. It might sound a down-right no-brain question, but to tell the truth it really bothered me for a loooong time. Thanks for solving it, greatly appreciate it!

Good luck!

Mo

It's not a slash, it is a pipe, used for delimiting data, ie and ascii pipe
delimited text file.

What OS are you using? There maybe a character map you can pick out the
pipe, also, what kind of keyboard are you using?
