Default How to build an Image Library? - 07-06-2004 , 12:21 PM

I'm trying to build an image library. I have about 400 images, all with
alpha-numeric labeling. I want to make the directory where the images
accessible and seachable to a team of developers. Right now, I have a link to
the directory which then shows a list of all the images, but its a little
overwhelming. I am looking for a way for the developers to input an image
number which will then call up the correct image and either download
automatically, or allow them to download manually. I have already provided the
developers with a low resolution version of the images so they can access the
image numbers (file names). Now that I describe it it doesn't sound very
differnt from a commercial clip art or stock photo site in terms of
functionality.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would just put the file info into a database, and let the search trigger a
download. Can you do that?
