Default How to allow people to update site? - 11-18-2004 , 06:43 AM

Hi there.

I recently created a simple website for a local school. The Head Teacher would
now like some of her staff to be able to update it so they can put on regular
news, work, homework, photos, etc.

I used Dreamweaver MX 2004 to create the site. Can you tell me if Dreamweaver
is able to introduce a system that allows them to update it? They do not have
any knowledge of html, etc.

If not, could you possibly tell me what you think would be the best way for
them to be able to update it? It needs to be a very simple system though.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Macromedia Contribute is designed for exactly the situation you're
describing.

Why not download a Trial version and see if it will be suitable?

Simple to use or simple to implement? (Note that those are often mutually
exclusive goals ;o)

You could also make it dynamic (a.k.a use dynamic content) and then use
our KTML control - it's free

Web based, workd on MACs,
