Default Host directory - 11-07-2005 , 03:58 PM

It's been a long time since I last did this and I just can't seemt to get it
right, hence hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a hosting plan with a seconary domain name alias set up. Everything is
working fine, however I want to be able to manage this web site from within
it's own Site in Dreamweaver rather than within the sub-directory of the
primary site. As such I need to be able to direct DW to the relevant folder on
the primary site when I connect. What do I need to enter in DW in the Host
directory field of the Site Definition table though?

Let's say the main site is called 123.com and to connect I'm using
ftp.123.com. The folder in which the secondary site is stored is abc. So for
example /123.com/abc ....this format I know doesn't work...any ideas?

Thanks,
Richard

OK - all sorted. For those who wish to do this themselves the answer was that
although you would have a connection line like ftp.123.com for the host
directory entry you actuall refer to the user name on the hosting account
rather than the domain name. e.h. richard/mv where richard is the user name and
mv the folder you wish to have DW set up to 'access' by default.
