Hey folks, I am wondering if someone might be able to tell me how the horizontal navigation bar may have been designed at www.harvest.org. Is it css based? Dreamweaver layers & behaviors? Do you think it may have been done in Fireworks or Photshop, or is it a creation of Project VII? Thanks for the input guys, I am looking forward to replicating this type of navigation on one of my sites. Here to help, and be helped... Aaron |

Oh, I guess it is done with Flash... Does anyone know of any good tutorials for creating this type of thing with css, or would I be better off using layers and behaviors in Dreamweaver? It's not done in Flash. I would use CSS, 'layers', and behaviors - http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/navigation/snapmenus/index.htm or http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/navigation/auto_hide/index.htm and here's an example you can analyze - http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/autolayers/ |

Funny thing is - there's not a horizontal menu on that page! 8) It's vertical! |

it's javascript based... a good link for making menus is http://www.opencube.com... but becarful when using a javascript menu, search engines don't search javascript links so make sure you have text links connecting you site... a good way to do this is by creating a sitemap. Flash |

I provided a link to the website, and not to the specific page I was looking at, sorry. The horizontal page that includes icons on this page: http://www.harvest.org/search/index.php?pm=1&x=0&y=0&keywords=teens I am not interested in the icons, just the pop-up over the nav bar... take a special look at the search box... very nice.
