Help With Using Local Folder

I set up a new site, but I am working directly on the server, instead of making
updates on my local folder, then uploading after I'm done. I've looked all
over, and can't figure out how to change this. Please help! Thanks!

Have you defined your local folder and other options in site manager? Have you tried switching to local view?

I have not, as I don't know how to. I need to copy the files from the server, but am having trouble getting that done too. I am a complete newbie, thank you!

Delete your site definition and create a new one, this time DONT select
FTP & RDS, select SITE and then you will be fine.
