Geeezzz plenty of people who use library items obviously dont realise
this. When I have come across one in someones code I dont think once I
could'nt fine the item on the server, lol

Right. I'll take your word for that, I wont be going there though
Over the last what say six months, certainly this year, I have not had
one instance of seeing a library item in anyones code I have downloaded.
I download quite a bit everyday. That tells me that library items cant
be that popular, I could be wrong, but I'm basing that on my own
personal findings.

Maybe I just download a better class of code lol

You hang out in strange places.

Library items can be quite useful. Consider a template with an editable
region into which I can drop one of several different navigation elements as
Library items. The template gives me the gross updating capability. The
editable region gives me the flexibility to use page-specific navigation,
and the Library item allows this navigation to be updated automatically when
changes are made.

No doubt they can be of use. I guess I just go about things from a
different direction, to arrive at the same place.

Not sure why they dont appear to be more popular than they are then. I
did used to see a lot being used about a year/18 months back but they
just seem to have largely disappeared off the scene, at least from the
pages that I download. Those pages I would say are a fairly random
selection of novice, medium and advanced users.

I see a lot of templates.
