Default Help a N00B - 11-04-2004 , 06:09 PM

:| Long story short, I took over a program and really don't know what i'm
doing. I had a webserver set up to where my user would fill out a form (html)
and then it would take them to another page. Basically I'm in the AF and I
work on F-15's and my boss wants to be able to display critical info on these
pages. It was setup but our WGM took my computer and formatted it from Win2k
with xp pro. The folders were saved but I don't know how to set up my webserver
with dreamweaver and I have gone to asp.101 and w3schools.com with no luck. I
have my form and .asp file in the wwwroot folder I just don't know what to do.
Can anyone please help me?

I'm sorry for the candor. I was hoping someone else would take the hit, but
I see that nobody did.

Hire a professional. Really. You are completely unprepared for this job,
and it will be months (at best) before you can begin to execute it.

Thanks for the honesty but unfortunately we are not in a position to hire. I
have asked the local population but have had no success. I just picked up the
dreamweaver 4 bible by Joseph Lowery, so hopefully this will shed some light.
thanks

Where is this data going? Database? Textfile?

Any other information you could share?

First thing you need to do is get IIS running on your server/localhost machine. Then point DW to that site and copy the files to your local (editing) location.
