Default Help! Lost site config files! - 11-09-2005 , 05:45 AM

I have restarted my PC, and Dreamweaver MX (not 2004), but my sites are not
available ... can anyone tell me where I might find a copy of the file created
to store these details, or what it's called???

My Dreamweaver is not installed on the C Drive, and I can't tell where to look
within the following folder:
F:\programs\macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration

Thanks for reading!
Dawn:confused;

Which version of DMX? 6.0 or 6.1? If the former, please update at your
earliest convenient opportunity to DMX6.1 - there be dragons in version 6.0.

The definitions are stored in the Registry. Losing track of them is a known
problem for DMX (and DMX2004, too), so it's best to keep a backup of these
definitions. You can do that one at a time from the Site panel using
Export, or you can get this utility and do it all in one pass -

Hi Murray & Malcolm, thanks for your help thus far ...
I've downloaded the update & export tool.

Does this mean I can't recover the sites?
Also can you tell me how to access the Registry for future reference?

Good - have you installed the update?

It means that you have lost the site definitions - you must just recreate
them. THe site's files are still there on your hard drive.

You use the utility. You don't need to access the Registry.
