Default Help configuring Development Environment - 08-04-2004 , 03:04 PM

Hi All,

I have the following environment here: one server with IIS and Coldfusion
Server MX 6.1. In this server there is a CF application that access an Oracle
database in other server. I have also some client computers with Dreamweaver MX
2004 used to develop the application. All them are in a local network.

How can I configure the Dreamweaver in the client computers so that I can
develop and test this application. I was doing the following in the manage
sites in Dreamweaver:

Local Info: Local root folder: M:\ (a mapped directory in the CF/IIS server)

Remote Info: Remote folder: M:\ (the same drive).

Testing Server: Server Model: Coldfusion
Access: Local/Network
Testing server folder: M:\
URL prefix: http://myserver/mysite

In my client with Dreamweaver the M drive is mapped to a shared directory in
the CF/IIS server. This shared directory is also a virtual directory (mysite).
So, when I save a file in Dreamweaver I'm doing this in the web site folder.

The problem: I can't configure the database in Dreamweaver. I don't see the
database (tables, etc) in the application/database panel. Do I have to use RDS?
I try to configure it but didn't succeed.

The datasources are already configured in the CF Server and are working.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.
