Default help! - 08-20-2003 , 08:49 AM






anybody can help by telling me why i received this error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default
driver specified

/SmartGuestBook/admin/authentication.asp, line 14

Have you defined a data source name (DSN)? Is the one being asked for by the
page or application the same one, spelled correctly, etc.?

the only connecttion i defined is my DSN CONNECTION WITH THE dreaweaver.
then i upload to the hosting site both the file, the connection, and the
database.

It sounds like you have your ODBC connection on your local machine but not on your host computer or ISP. The same connection must be on both computers for it to work.

Is that possible?
