Default Gotta Problem... - 08-27-2004 , 02:05 PM

Hey guys, I have this problem that recently came up for me in Dreamweaver.

I used to create new pages for my webstie almost every day with no problem,
but just a few days ago I would get this message when I try to upload my
changes,

"Before using the feature, you must define a site that contains the selected
files. Would you like to define one now?"

At the bottom it gives me a Yes/No option. If I click 'Yes', it acts as if I'm
creating a whole new site.

So I'm not sure what to do. All I wanna do is upload my changes like I was
before, not create a new site or anything. So if any of you could tell me what
the problem is, or how to fix it, that'd make my day.

Thanks.

My guess is that you'll need to reinstall DW, but let's hear from
others. If you in fact have to do that, be sure to first use the
wonderful MM-Exporter at http://mm-exporter.joexx.de/ to save all yoru
site definitions and confguration settings.

You lost your site definitions. That happens sometimes. DW does it as a
prank I think. It likes messing with you.

Solution: set up your site definition again from scratch. This time, export
it so you can re-import it later when DW decides to pull the prank on you
again.
