Default Making images big on the same screen - 07-08-2008 , 06:31 PM

I want to have a picture look bigger (I think it will be better using the roll
over, but any option that works is good) but with out changing anything else on
the screen. Not in another window, not changing the frame, just on top of the
window I already have. I am sorry if this is a silly question, but I am just
learning and I am a little bit lost. Thanks so much.

Yep, that's the original. The Litebox project offers the same features,
but uses another streamlined JS framework, which leads to much smaller
code ("Same great taste, fewer calories").

Yeah I read its webpage. I made my suggestion in case the OP did not
want to use MooTools.

Why would he not want to use Moo Tools?

Nothing against mootools. Some folks would simply rather not use a
javascript framework, and if so, lightbox and many of its offspring are
freestanding scripts.

If the OP does want to use a javascript framwork, then there are many
additional lightbox-like scripts to choose from, for example these for
jQuery:

Lightbox 1 uses just Prototype (IIRC), Lightbox 2 uses Scriptaculous,
which is based on Prototype. Both are real heavy-weight JS frameworks.

I see no javascript frameworks - either mentioned or in use - on this page:

You're right.

It's been a while that I used the Lightbox 1, so I wasn't too sure about
that and had to look at code. It's only one JS, some images and a bit of
CSS.

It's only version 2 that makes such heavy use of the frameworks.
