The strange thing is that I can no longer go to the website I was working on via a browser without getting the same timeouts. And I cannot access email from that domain name without getting timeouts. And I can't connect via another FTP program as well, unless it's on a different machine. |

I've had an issue occur twice now with the trial version of Dreamweaver 8 where it will stop connecting to the current server that I'm working in because of ftp timeouts. However, I'm able to connect to other servers/sites without closing the program and reopening it. The strange thing is that I can no longer go to the website I was working on via a browser without getting the same timeouts. And I cannot access email from that domain name without getting timeouts. And I can't connect via another FTP program as well, unless it's on a different machine. The first time I was able to fix this by connecting to another site's server in Dreamweaver and transfer a few files. That same trick isn't working this time. It's as if there is a file stuck between my computer's ftp port and the port from the server. I am able to connect to the site on other computers in the same network. I believe this emerging issue is occuring locally, because when I take my computer to the office it's still stuck and give me timeout issues. It has only occured when using the "Put" feature to upload a file I'm working on in the document window of Dreamweaver 8. I've opened a discussion with tech support, but I wanted to get a second opinion from other users as to what I might be able to do to fix the problem. |

I never had a problem with Dreamweaver '04, so I figured it was a DW8 exclusive issue. I went into Black Ice and whitelisted my server, so it's working again. Thanks again! |
