FTP Problem

I'm using DW MX 6.1 (Mac version) and have a problem with connecting via FTP to
my web site. If I go into the Edit Site function and test the connection, it
responds that it was able to connect. When I try to connect from within DW to
update my web sites, it responds that the host was found and it is connecting.
It then gets stuck on "waiting for server" until it times out. I am able to
connect to the site using another FTP program and can upload my web pages
created in DW with no problems. Any ideas why DW can't complete the connection?

that's an indication of a firewall issue.

Try checking the "passive" box in the remote info of that site definition.

If that doesn't do it, (assuming you are on mac 0sX) go into System
Preferences-->Network-->built in Firewall and allow FTP connections.
