ftp host what name can i give it i dont get it

i don't get how i must name my ftp host so i can publish it
can somebody help me in what way must i put what in the hostname ??????:S:S:S:camera:wine;:confused;

it depends on your ISP, for you to host your site you need some where to
host it right, so where are you going to host it, on top of that when you
created your account with them what was the user name and password you
requested when opening the account with them.

what do you know and what do you have?...

To publish a web site on the web you need:

1. a domain name. This is the name of your site on the internet. You
need to buy a domain name.
2. a web server or host. This is where you ftp your site. You need to
rent a host or server space.

Then in dreamweaver you select FTP, you put the ftp address, generally
ftp.yourDomainName.com
then your user name and passord PROVIDED BY your Host or server.

You also need to set the DNS of your domain name to your server address.

what information do you put in the host directory?

If the site is being hosted on a remote server, usually nothing. If that
doesn't work, ask your host.
