Default FTP error msg - 07-22-2004 , 01:06 PM

I have used Dreamweaver for many sites but this is the first time I have come
across this error msg:

Some files were skipped during the last operation.
A list of these files have been logged in the FTP Log Window.

I have taken a look at the log window but not quite sure what I am looking for
to resolve the issue.
I am waiting to hear from server company just to make sure that it is not a
problem on their end.
I am using DWMX.

All help is appreciated. Thanks

You might try switching between passive and active FTP mode, that might take
care of it, or at least give you an idea of where to start.

I've found the DW FTP side to be very "buggy" for lack of a better term. I
often have to switch to SmartFTP or some other application to get some files
to do what I want them to do. Just the nature of the program, I think.

Perhaps with older DW's this was true, but DMX2004 is pretty solid. It has
never let me down.

I have seen this message on *nix machines using DWMX 6.1.
It happens when you do not have permission to overwrite a file.

Check the permissions on the remote files.

Thanks for the replies. The problem was solved when the hosting company rebooted their server.
