ftp error

I am unable to connect to the image folder in my remote site through
dreamweaver ftp. I can connect to other folders, no problem. But when I try to
open the image folder or put an image file to the remote site, it says remote
connection has been lost and there is an ftp problem. Can anyone give me an
idea what direction to go in? TIA

Are your images used in an .html page/file? Otherwise I would talk to your server.
