Default formulary please help!!! - 08-17-2004 , 10:35 PM

Am I clear? I'm not sure . but I still have the same problem......

I have to solve this problem with a formulary:

As for the form, you would use Method="Post" and
Action="../cgi-bin/<script>", replacing <script> with whichever script you
plan on using.

what exactly is that I have to replace in the script?
The script is a cgi, php, pl, asp ???

The thing is that there is a formulary and now I have to make it work. Then
it
has to be sent by mail.

thanks!

First step:
Check with your hosting for THIS site.
Do they have a FAQ/Support section? Look in it to see what they say about
preinstalled form scripts they may have available for your use, and also
what scripting you can use if you want to use your own script.

Also, look in any "control panel" or cpanel setup for your site, if it has
one. If yes, is there a cgi or scripts section? Look there.

Then, you will either have found a preinstalled script from your host- or
you will know what server side scripting language you can use. (or- that
your hosting doesn't allow you to install scripting)

Once you know which scripting language you can use on this site- then people
here can offer suggestions on what to use.

for example-
For Perl/cgi i suggest http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net Formmail script.
For PHP i suggest http://boaddrink.com -->phpformmail script

Also- at http://kaosweaver.com there is a MailForm extension you can install
into dreamweaver, that will put in the needed serverside scripting to
process a form in your choice of ASP/PHP/ColdFusion
