Default Format issues... - 07-08-2004 , 01:07 PM

I am working on an e-newsletter for my company. I am using the template 'Two
Column Right Nav' and it looks great when I preview in explorer. However, when
I try to copy the HTML to my mass email program (WorldCast), the format from
the template is gone and I only have one column. I have also tried to upload
the entire file to my server and I get the one column format.

Any suggestions?

Beth

that is a CSS-P template, the content is positioned with information stored
in the linked external .css file.

Probably reasons it doesn't work-
The link to the external .css file isn't a full http:// link.
Even if it is a full http:// path- I'm not sure many email clients will pull
the stylesheet info in.
Even if they do- i would guess that using CSS-P in an email client would be
haphazard results. I may be wrong but i'd be cautious-

suggest you use plain simple tables for the layout of an html newsletter.
Pretend you are writing for browsers from 5 years ago.

And- any images or links in this must be full http:// paths

It's most likely because of the fact that your email cannot reference an
external CSS file.

You may have problems with such layouts as a result.

In my experience, CSS needs to be embedded or inline for HTML emails to
work.
