Default Form validation - 02-09-2005 , 05:09 PM

I ran into a snag when I went to apply the validation behaviour (DWMX) to my
submit button. It interferes with the submit action on IE 6 PC. and Firefox Mac
- (a java script issue, so I was told). When I remove the behaviour, it works
fine, but the client would like the name, address info etc, to be mandatory. I
have d/l the yaromat extension. Will this do the trick? Or is there something
else that I need to do in order for this to function properly? The page in
question is here: http://www.tomkt.com/form.htm Thanks! Melissa

Don't apply it to the submit button. Apply it to the <form> tag.

Have you updated DMX to v6.1?

ok, I applied the behaviour to the form tag and ran a test, PC ignores the
required text and submitts the form anyway....any suggestions? I am about to
pull my hair out! http://www.tomkt.com/formtest1.htm

Actually, your implementation of it caused a crash, right?

This is wrong -

onSubmit="MM_validateForm('01)Name','','R','03)Tit le','','R','04)CompanyThe
behavior should be applied to the <form> tag.

oh boy. I thought I was attaching it to the form tag.

I guess I need to ask now, where exactly is the form tag that I should attach it to?

Thanks,
Melissa
