Form handler

I'm new to Dreamweaver. Former FrontPage user. Stopped because it
breaks down so easily and creates bloated sites.

One thing I miss is its automated form handling. I need to create a
simple form that will pass the data to another page in the site,
appending each new "record" to the beginning of the file. Preferably,
the date will be automatically included.

Can this be done in Dreamweaver? Or, does anyone know of where I can
get an easy-to-use, preferably free script to perform this function?

My host allows php, perl, python, cgi and pear. I don't know how to
program in any of these languages. Copy and paste is all I'm capable
of.
