Forever going image.

Alright, I have been using dreamweaver for quite some time but this is
something I've never need to do till now, What I would like to do is something
like on www.apple.com on the sides of the sub menu bar there is a glass bar and
at the end it's not a image on the site it's like a background (since you can
click on it and save) but it's in that one spot, Would I do that in a table? Or
something else. Thanks for any help.
