Default Fonts Problim - 06-25-2004 , 03:14 PM

I am making a web site for my clan which is Star Trek themed (
http://s-a-s-clan.net) and i uses a ST font for the text but the other member
in the can cant see the font in use (because they dont have it) so rather than
tell everone who visits to dl the font is there any way to tell the index page
to dl the font into the users computer ? i have the font on the FTP but that
doesnt work.

Plz someone help im pulling my hair out at this.

btw if you view the site the text is supposed to look the same as the flash
text in the intro

Thanks

There is no acceptable solution to this except for you to make your text
as graphics.

There's no good way to do this (thank god!). I wouldn't want to be forced to
download a font whether I like it or not. The only way out is to do the
special font stuff as a graphic.

Another possibility is to create the page as an interactive pdf file with
the font embedded. But personally I find pdf web pages to be extremely
irritating. I think you're best off just letting the font default away in
most browsers, or creating the text as a graphic.
