Flash Video in DW too slow

I am trying to build a page at http://lotus.org/docs/video3.htm. I've got two
problems:

1. The page loads very slowly on a high-speed connection and really clogs the
RAM on dialup. It is not usable as is. I created the page using
Insert/Media/Flash VIdeo... The .flv are hosted on the site's host,
crystaltech.com.

This is going to duplicate http://lotus.org/docs/video.htm, that works faster
(why these are faster, I don't know). Unfortunately, the files must be removed
from the server in which they sit and so I am trying to create an alternate
page with the files on my own server. Can anyone please guide me to a solution?

2. The second problem pertains to the fourth set of videos, Ribbon Cutting.
These .flv files start with a fadein from black. a nd so you see a black image
before anything plays. Is there some way I can edit out the black beginning of
the .flv? I have tried to find a program to let me convert the .flv to a format
that is easier to edit (Riva Encoder), but I'm stuck on that,unable to figure
out how to encode to a format other than .flv. Any suggestions there?

I opened the duplicate link,but it didn't play.
The page(http://lotus.org/docs/video3.htm) play so slow,I think it
relates to the flash format.

You can convert the videos to swf ,then create a page with
insert/Media/Flash in DW. Maybe the flash videos will play OK.
