flash text in dw and alt tags

Hi

I'm quite new to DW and only learning my way...

I want to use flash text objects to make a simple navigation bar, and have managed to get the effect that I want to achieve. The text changes colour nicely when the cursor hovers over the link, but I'd like the name of the link to appear too, in the way an 'alt' tag does with an image, or when using 'title' with a link.

Is this possible?

the alt tag only displays a tool tip in ie (it shouldn't).
the alt tag can be used with the object tag - not sure how or whether this
helps with accessibility ie, those without flash won't be able to use the
link anyway.
