Default Flash Movie mysteriously embeded - 07-27-2004 , 12:02 PM

I have seen a very strange effect, which unfortunately I could not understand
by viewing the source code. At www.kurtnoble.com, the flash moviue is embedded
to the page with a "mysterious' way. When you scale the window, thw flash movie
does not scale, but it is cropped. Howcan I do something like that? Also, which
should be the width and the height of the flash movie? Thank you.

The file is cropping because the flash file has a parameter set as
"scale=noscale" which is a little strange when they have set the width &
height to a percentage (which the sole purpose is to allow scaling)

Hi again, thank you for your reply. I would like to know if it is so simple to
embed the flash movie into the HTML page adn set the parameter "noscale".
Should the flash movie have a specific wisth and height? Thank you.

Yes it is very simple to place a Flash movie onto a page. In terms of width
& height settings it really depends upon how fluid you want the design to
be. The other issue is that if your flash movie contains graphics or images
it is not a good idea to scale in both directions as the proportions are
often not the same.
