for those of you who would like to help me here is my question again:

I have this flash animation on a page I am working on. Right before the
animation loads the area that the animation occupies turns white for a second.
Being that the entire page is black this does not look right. I would like to
know if there is a way to get rid of it. I alread asked this question in the
flash forum and they told me to ask here. the site is www.piscatello.com, click
on the name in the index page and a new window pops up. in the new window the
animation to the right is what I am refering to. Thanks

lets keep the artistic comments to a minimum. i just would like me question
answered.

The page takes a second to turn black when loading the background color and flash movie.

I remember reading an answer to this question a while ago in the Flash
forums. You can probably find it by doing a search in
Google>Groups>Macromedia Forums>Flash

desginintern;
If you have not done so (I didn't check), try defining a "bgcolor"
parameter/attribute (matching the background color of your movie) in your
obect/embed:
<PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE=#000000>
bgcolor=#000000
