Find & Replace and Copy & Paste from Code Inspector

I'm running DW MX 04 on a G5 Mac OSX 10.3.6. Here's the weird deal: I highlight
code in the code inspector and say Find & Replace. It puts my highlighted code
in the find box ok, but then when I try to copy whats in the find box using the
keyboard command C and paste command V in the replace box -- no dice. I have to
select copy and paste from the menu with my mouse. My keyboard commands work
fine when I'm viewing the code with the split design/code view, copy and paste
problem only happens when using the code inspector and find and replace. Anyone
else seen this?

Yes its when the web page file is open in DW. If i duplicate the whole process i mentioned in my first post using the file's split code/design view, i have no problems.
