Find and replace

:confused; I have big problems when replacing code containing strange
characters. Somehow some meta-information in the headercod changed swedish
characters to different odd looking characters. This occured in all the
documents on the website. When I tried to replace the corrupted code
Dreamweaver did replace it. But with new strange characters! Anyone who have an
answer to my problems???
