F12 -> Firefox opens new window every time

Hello,

I work with Firefox as browser. I tried F12 and also CTRL-F12 to launch it.
The problem: Every time I hit (CTRL-)F12 a NEW firefox window is opened . How
can I prevent this? The IE doesn't do this.

Catrix, you can fix this in the Firefox preferences: Tools > Options >
Advanced. You'll see the third option is "Tabbed Browsing". Expand that
option and you'll see "Open links from other applications in:" Choose "a new
tab in the most recent window" or "the most recent tab/window." (I choose the
former).

(had still version 1.0PR of firefox and this option was not there ...)
