Hello, My client is concerned that visitors who follow external links provided on her site might get lost in other website. I had external links targetted "blank" so it opens a new browser. This way, when a user closes the other site, s(h)e can still go back to the original site. My client thinks I should add text "click x button to close browser" behind each links. I do not think it's necessary and don't want to clutter up the page. Is there any better solution for this issue? Thank you in advance. |

What if you made a page with 2 frames, the top frame can be a simple row with a link that breaks out of the frames and returns the person to the main site, the bottom row of the frame can be 100% and would hold the actual external site? Some people hate frames, but if used correctly they can sure help in some situations. Just a thought. So, what would you do if she was your client? I am trying to figure out if there is a better way to accomplish the task or should I just convince her that's not necessary? Any advice will be appreciated. |

What do you think it's better? "back" button or "opening a new browser window" ? |
