Default expanding layer layout - 07-05-2004 , 06:52 PM

I was wondering if anyone could point me towards a tutorial on using layers that expand to percentages - that way I can get a layoput that fills the page using layers instead of tables.... thanks!

Here's a mini-tutorial created on-the-fly specifically for you!

=====================
Percentage Layer mini-tutorial

Change this -

<div id="foo" style="width:200px; height:200px;....

to this -

<div id="foo" style="width:45%; height:30%;....

But don't expect this to solve your problems.

There's no charge for this service.

Yes, well, like I said, it's not the right way to do it, really.

Until you understand CSS and how to use it to make things like this happen,
your best bet would be to nail table use/construction cold and create your
pages that way.

Yeah I can do it with tables already, but I am trying to learn CSS (I bought a
book yesterday), and that is why I was posting here to look for tutorials
directing towards the proper way to do this - so I can learn and understand it
better. I read most places as CSS is the way to go... and I am just looking to
migrate in that direction.

Thanks!
