Default Everything is broken. - 11-04-2005 , 02:08 PM

I have upgraded from dreamweaver mx 2004 to version 8. Now when I open any
page the images do not show, and everything looks messed up. The images src is
pointing to the correct file, but dreamweaver shows a grey box, and my SSIs are
all goofed up.

Any help, thanks.

When the site was developed, it was linking by Site Root. But when I installed
Dreamweaver 8, it seems like it only wants me to use Document. I would need to
use Site Root, but when i click on it, I get the following error..."For site
relative links to work correctly at runtime you need to set a valid HTTP
address in the site definition." The site we have been using is an HTTPS site.
Will Dreamwever 8 NOT use HTTPS? This is driving me up the wall, and I'm
pretty far up. I even tried the demo on another computer and it works, but
when I install the full copy, I get those errors there also.

If anyone has any ideas on this, please reply, thanks.

I did load MX 2004 on my second PC, and using the exact same settings, opened
the same page and the images and everything display.

But on the Local Info, there is a new setting, Links Relative To: Document or
Site Root. I use Site Root for all my links.
