Default Error upon inserting a Fireworks pop-up menu into a DW-MX document - 07-14-2003 , 03:48 AM

Can anyone help with this annoying problem?

When I insert a certain pop-up menu into a DW template document, I get the
following error messages, first a warning, then an identical fatal error:

Macromedia Dreamweaver MX

While executing onClick in Fireworks HTML.htm, the following JavaScript
errors occurred:

At line 429 nof file C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
MX\Configuration\Shared\MM\Scripts\insertFireworks HTML.js": TypeError:
menuFn.match(searchPatt)has no properties

I am trying to insert a pop-up menu into a "repeating area" that is within a
"layer." The reason I want the menu to be within a layer, is I want to
insure that the pop-ups are visible, rather than hidden behind the material
in the editable areas. The only way to do that, it seems, is to put the menu
in a layer, and make that layer first in the stack. Maybe I'm doing
something all wrong, but I have just been banging my head against a wall for
about four hours. Please help!

Thank you for this message. My system information is below. If I can't put
pop-up menus into layers, how do I make sure that the pop-ups don't slide
"under" the layers in the editable areas of the page?

OS: XP

AV: Norton 2003

Realtime protection: yes

Firewall: ?

Background programs: StopZilla, Beltran Autoswitch, other Macromedia MX
programs

Extensions: none that I know of.

File locations: All are local

DMX (Dreamweaver MX?) works fine except for this problem, but I have only
been using it for two days.

The problem only happens under the conditions described.

I have not tried recreating the site cache.

Thanks again for your help.
