editing/customising mm_menu.js

I have just started using DW MX 2004's popup menu behaviour, it's great but...
I was just wondering if any knows of a newer version with more appearance
control, or has anyone edited the mm_menu.js to include such things as
reformatting mouseover text (i.e I'd like it bold) or mouseover image change
(i.e I'd like a little graphic to follow the menu selections in the popup) Any
suggestions or comments welcome. I'm not afraid of ditching the behaviour
editor and customising the code. Thanks for any help. Steve

Uhbboy....

Don't use these messy menus. Use something over which you have complete and
unfettered control, like the menus you will get with the methods taught
here -

You got sincere advice, not an advertisement. I recommended that you learn
how to do it yourself, not buy a product. The menus you are trying to adapt
are not worth another minute of your time....
