Editable areas in Templates

Hi

I have designed a site using templates and all is well as I have used design
view to add images and text to the editable area.

On the contact us page I want to use the Code view to add my feedback fields
etc, but every time I try and saved the code entered into th editable area it
tells me its is locked by the template

Why does the editable are allow updates in design view but not code view?

I am using Dreamweaver MX 6.1

Ugh - plenty of template issues in that version.

Anyhow - show me the page and tell me what you are trying to change, please.
