Default DWCS2 Import Excel - 03-30-2009 , 07:58 AM

http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/dreamweaver/articles/drwcs3_clctcontent_02.htm
l says DreamWeaver can import an Excel Spreadsheet. I see the entry, but it is
greyed out. Was it only implemented in CS3, or is there some thing I need to do
in CS2 to "ungrey" the entry. If I tell it tabular data, it says it cant parse
an xls or xlsx.

Murray, I am on a PC, and have DW CS2. What do I need to do?

You probably need to start by installing Excel. Did you?

I had Excel (Office 2003) installed before I installed DreamWeaver

Also I just realized I made a mistake in the topic when I said DWCS2 Import
Excel. I am using DW from CS4. The rest of my system is CS2, but DW is CS4

Try exporting as a .csv, and import the .csv. That has the added benefit
of absolutely stripping any and all Excel formatting.

The article I referenced seemed to indicate that if I could ungrey the excel entry there were several options ranging from keeping excel formatting to deleting it and others in the middle
