head !-- InstanceBegin template="/Templates/Main_News.dwt.php" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -- |
|
Have a template that I initially had put the codeOutsideHTMLISLocked tag as follows: head !-- InstanceBegin template="/Templates/Main_News.dwt.php" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -- Then decided that I didn't in fact want to do that, so removed the <!-- InstanceBegin... --> from my template. Now however, when I update any pages based on that template, the now deleted tag is still there! Haven't been able to figure out how to get rid of this invisible tag. Have performed the following: 1. Deleted all lines before/after invisible tag and then retyped them. 2. Cut and pasted #1 code to a new document and then saved as a new template. 3. Rebooted DW8 - mystery code is still there. Anybody know how to get rid of this or is my template completed hosed? 8-( Appreciate any thoughts or help. Best regards...Bob Bob McCormick XebraTech |

Hi Murray, You and I have discussed this issue - you didn't have any ideas . Basically, some of my templates, when updated, put that bit of code into one of the editable regions of the child pages. This unwelcome phenomenon also happens to me with certain Library items.
