Default DW8 - FTP and General Crashing OSX - 11-08-2005 , 04:23 PM

I am experience horrible performance from the assets panel problem to DW8
crashing or locking up during FTP publishing. It is pathetic that I have to
shut down and then restart after publishing files because DW8 keeps saying
there are background publishing. At that point, it won't allow you to open any
other files until it finishes whatever files it is trying to publish.

The site is Contribute Compatible where Users are managed by Contribute
Publishing Services - a seperate server from the website server. I also did
not remove Studio MX? Could this be the issue.

It seems like I restart 20-30 times a day.

Anyone have any suggestions before I call for support?

:brokenheart;
I'm having problems with Dreamweaver 8 crashing when I close the application.
It hangs and then I get a message window that says Dreamweaver 8 is having to
close. I thought maybe it was because I had open files. So I closed all open
files and it still crashes, everytime I close. Can't find any help on this
issue, can you?

Hi There,

This is interesting... Sorry to hear that you're having such trouble.

Just an idea... You mentioned that you didn't remove Studio MX. I would
give that a shot and see what happens.

Also, did you try removing the link between one of the sites at the CPS
server? It could be that is messing things up a bit.

If you have screenshots or the text of the error message(s), posting
that would help as well.

Cheers,
