Default DW Templates & CSS-P bground image problem - 07-20-2004 , 11:33 PM

Hi All

I have created a CSS based layout for my website which I would like to setup
as a DW template and then later edit with Contibute.

I have the CSS layout viewing fine in its original structure but once I
convert it to a DW template and create a page from it, it won't view one of the
background images. The div tag it won't view in is #MainContent.
I have other background images which are working fine in other divs, such as
#mast & #nav .

You can view the original file and the template file at
http://www.visualunity.com.au/css/

If anybody can shed some light on this, it would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Michelle

Here's a question -

<!-- #BeginLibraryItem "/Library/Navigation.lbi" -->

Why use a Library item that is in a non-editable region of the template?
Your operational impact of removing this Library item and just putting in
the code would be zero, but the performance of updates to the page would be
much better. The same goes for your footer Library item.

Also, having an editable region inside an <h1> tag is going to give you an
annoying nag every time you make a change to this template.

<h1>
<!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="Page Title" -->Visual Unity Offers <!--
TemplateEndEditable --></h1>

As for your background image, I see it just fine in IE6/WXPPro.

Thanks Murray. Will take that on board.

Background image problem must be a mac thing.

Thanks again.
