DW says that FW nav bar wrong format

I've created a nav bar in Fireworks, exported it as HTML with all the
appropriate boxes checked (i.e., saving image files in subfolder). Then went
to Dreamweaver to import as FW HTML file. DW keeps saying that the exported
file is not a FW exported file. I've tried reloading, restarting, reworked the
nav, tested...to no avail. I've looked at Macromedia site and all over the Web
for help. I'm at a loss. What am I doing wrong? And should I just give up
and create the nav in DW directly?
