DW PHP Include - lose formatting

Hi All - hope someone can help. I have a number of php pages that contain a
table with a white background colour. Inside the table I have inserted an
include command referencing another php file. As soon as I include it and go
back to design view, it inserts the PHP file but I loose all my formatting of
the original page (the table, background everything disappears). Even the
background becomes black so I can hardly read the text in the table. My
question is - can I stop DW from automatically generating the PHP include in
the design of the page, so that it just shows the PHP include tag on the page
and thats it? If it helps, I am using XP, DW MX2004 with PHP 4.3.9 and IIS.
