DW MX 2004 Deletes local files

Today I was working on a site, and Dreamweaver ended up deleting the local
files spontaneously. Luckily, I had a back up, so I didn't lose to much...
But then when I restored the files, it happened again. It even deleted the
root directory of the site. The next time I loaded it, it gave me the root
directory missing error. This happened just after I did a site link check,
and deleted all the orphaned files I had. I was able to find the files in
the trash, however. Very odd. I even rebooted the computer... Same thing.

Mac OS X 10.3.6
PB G4 17" 1 gig of ram.
DW MX 2004 (7.01)

Anyone have any ideas?
