I recently made a site for an artist that utilizes DW's image swapping behavior to swap images in the gallery (you click on the thumbnails) http://szalla.com/neu/gallery/ It works fine on my Macintosh -- in Safari and in IE 5.5 -- but the artist said it wasn't working for him. I went to an internet caf? and sure enough it didn't work in IE (I don't remember the version) on PC -- altho' it worked in Mozilla and NN 7.1. In IE it seems the images don't come up when clicking the thumbnails -- Can anyone help me with this? I've actually done two sites based on this template and need to fix the problem pronto -- preferably without much change. Would preloading the images help? (they're big, though). Will I have to do this with layers? Argh. It should work, no? Thanks very much for any help! |

Thanks! But yes, I thought of that -- I can try preloading them, but they are fairly heavy images (artwork: needs to be highquality) -- so it'd be like 400k to load all of them -- a lot. That's why I didn't. But more than that: why won't it work? It's a DW built-in behavior. Supposed to be OK for IE 4.0 and above. What is the problem here? It works fine in Safari, Mozilla, NN -- and on IE 5.5 on my Mac (OS/X) -- it works fine here, so I actually have to go out to test it on a machine that doesn't work. What's the problem? Any clues, hints, help much appreciated. |
