Default DW CS4 freeze/ crash - 03-30-2009 , 02:18 PM

I have dozens of sites which connects to sql-server & MySQL databases. One of
these (SQL Server 2000) are causing me a big headache. I can't connect to it.
As soon as I try to make a recordset with the DW recordset dialog or just try
to expand the Stored procedures/ tables/ Views then DW crashes. I see
"Loading..." in the view pane, then a popup named "File activity" appears and
just a couple of seconds later I get: "The application is not responding. The
program may respond again if you wait. Do you want to end this process?" and DW
freezes.
I have restarted the computer, emptied the cache, deleted wincache.dat,
deleted and remade the site but to no wail.
I can't figure out what's different with this site compared to all the others
(that work normally) and now I'm in big trouble. Anyone have a clue what's
going on/ experienced the same?
(DW CS4, Vista, 4 Gb RAM)

Is this site hosted on a different server or with a different hosting
plan? If so, there is a chance that the host does not allow remote
connections to databases for security reasons. You /may/ be able to
enable it in CPanel, but do be careful if you have that access.

Thanks for your answer. I do have the necessary rights. I have been working with the service provider to get this running but we are still in deep water..
