The Live View appears to work once I dismiss the message, but I'm
not certain of this, and would like to eliminate the message (or
have all the accessory programs I require). Can anyone please
give me a head's up on how to fix this issue? I started with the
Trial version of DW CS4 then downloaded & reinstalled the program
after purchasing the licence (still get the message though).
My system: Windows XP Pro / SP 3, NVidia 9800GTX video, 4 GB
RAM, 1 TB (total) drive space. Also have PS CS4, LR2. |
The only true test is the online test, of course, but...
Thanks for the system details and detailed steps to repro (snipped).
I think I was the one who assumed the previous poster needed to
download the Firefox plugin, based on the same error message you
reported. Later in the thread I'm thinking of, I was educated to the
fact that Live View uses the Webkit engine rather than Mozilla.[1]
This left me even more confused, since the error message makes no
sense in that context, and that Adobe's site claims that DW CS4's
Live View should show Flash videos by default.
You (I think) are now the 2nd person to report such a situation. Not
a large number of such reports, considering.
I loathe to suggest this, but you might try a DW reinstall. (Export
your site definitions, first.)
If you don't get results that way, I think you might want to use up
a support call with Adobe. And please let us know the results either
way, just in case this becomes more common.
[1. Long shot]
Try installing Apple Safari on that system?
