Default DW CS3 dependencies when putting - 01-01-2009 , 01:37 PM

In Preferences I have both items under "Dependent Files" unchecked, yet DW CS3
always checks the file dependencies when I put files, and this is a VERY
SERIOUS annoyance and waste of time. Isn't there a way to use PUT without
incurring the programs unwanted attempt to check dependencies?

For one thing, even though all the files are managed through DW, DW is often
wrong about which version of the file is most current. Secondly, since I'm
working with PHP and databases, I frequently PUT the same file to the webserver
dozens of times in a day. Even though I have a test server on my local system,
there are differences between the two webservers that make going back and forth
a lot necessary.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Check the Prompt before Put Preference. Put a file. When you get the
Prompt, check the "do not ask again" box, and then click on NO. You will
not be Prompted again, until you once again change the Preference.
